Greetings in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ:
Break my heart Lord for what breaks yours. May that be our prayer for 2016.
WOW!!! it is almost 2016 . The year has gone by so fast. We are very thankful God allowed us to be in the USA for holidays with our families but also to see many friends and churches that help support us to stay and minister in Haiti. Some of the churches we were not able to get too and hope to see them on our next return to the states. We are returning to Haiti January 7th. Please pray for our travels that day and the next few days as we are in Port au Prince buying supplies and traveling to our home on the mountain Jan 10th.
Below is a letter, thanking us for helping her, from a member in the church we attend. Her husband died about 4 years ago and she has 4 young children. Her house is in bad condition and really needs a new one. We have not had the extra funds to help her build one so we helped her start a small business to at least help with repairs and feed and clothe her family.
This is letter from Amose Lafortune (a member in pastor Paul’s church)
“I am so happy to write you to let you know about what I’ve been doing with the money you gave me to help start a little business.
I started in June. When I sold from June to October, I made 2000 gourds($40 US) more on what you gave me.
After a heavy rain, the house was really in bad shape and that was hard for my children and me. So what I did: I took some money and bought some tins to cover some parts in the roof. Now I have only 2000 gourds left. And I am planning to buy with that money items to keep my little business going.
Thank you for helping me with my kids. Pray for me and I am praying for you, too."

While we have been in the states, the ministries and equipping have continued on. Which is great, that shows that what we are doing is effective and working. As a missionary, especially to another country, we need to equip those we are discipling to do what God has called us to do there; The Great Commission: Go and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son , and Holy Spirit.
The 5 pastor groups have continued to meet and some of the pastors we have discipled and equipped have gone to the other 4 groups to help and encourage them. The pastors have been praying for the 2 crusades we will be helping them with in this new year.
We have 1000 New Testaments to pick up about a days travel from us and continuing to ask God for 1000 complete Bibles.
The leaders group has been continuing to meet.
They celebrate Christmas different than we do . Up where we are you will not see any decorations. Our administrator/translator messaged us that the pastors went out and did evangelism on Christmas Day, which was on Friday their normal meeting day, then returned after they finished to have a special service. That evening most churches would had celebration services celebrating Jesus. Then on January 1st they get together as a family and have a meal, whatever they can afford to do, and a gift if possible.
FYI: If you would like a giving record for 2015, please call Northeast Baptist Church at 660-885-5277 ask for Cindy and request one be sent to you.
We look forward to what God has in store for us, our family and the Haitian people we minister to and equip.
Your prayers are so important!
We can't just show up at church, walk by your Bible, sit through a worship service, or walk by the altar once a week and expect to be powered by the Holy Spirit. We must get really committed and plugged in to all those and have the best year yet when we are powered by the Holy Spirit.
Have a blessed 2016.
